Continental Sunday Presented by the German-American Citizens League
Continental Sunday is the German-American way of celebrating Sunday afternoons. Historically in Cincinnati, this was an afternoon with family and friends for festivities, fun, frolic, and Gemütlichkeit. Celebrate BOCKFEST’s version of Continental Sunday at the Moerlein Lager House.
12pm – 7pm Bock Beer Experience Bock Bier Tasting. All BOCKFEST Beers on tap.
1:30pm Welcome ceremony with the Continental Sunday traditional Keg Tapping and introduction of all German Club’s flags
German Entertainment
1:30pm – 6pm German Band Vereins Musikanten
3pm and 4:30pm Dance Group – Enzian Dancers
Noon – 4pm German Historic Speaker Series

-Noon – 1pm: Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann – Cincinnati’s Beer Barons in the Golden Age of Brewing
-2pm – 3pm: Dann Woellert – Decoding Pre – Prohibition German-American Beer Pinup Girls

1pm – 6pm Winner, Winner, Bockfest Chicken Dinner pre-sell tickets redeemable. $25 purchased online gets you Spaetzle, Braised Red Cabbage, ½ Rotisserie Bockfest Chicken. Visit Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner – Moerlein Lager House for link to pre-purchase chicken dinner.

A ticket confirmation will be sent when you purchase online. Tickets will be picked up in person on the day of the event at the Moerlein Lager House Bock Beer Tent located on the event lawn at the Moerlein Lager House. You will need to provide a valid ID at pickup showing you are 21+. All Bockfest Breweries Beers will be available as supply last.

  • It’s Bockfest time in Cincinnati, which means the coming of Spring is close! While we have tented areas and the first floor of the Lager House and indoor beer garden will be converted to the Moerlein Lager House Bockfest Hall, we do encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather and of course in your favorite BOCKFEST outfit.
  • Moerlein Lager House will have additional seating areas and fire pits scattered throughout the Moerlein Lager House Bockfest Hall.
  • Come hungry, there will be ample food available both outside and inside the Moerlein Lager House.
    The Moerlein Lager House is open to the public; but beers from the Bockfest Beer Experiance must be picked up at the Bock Beer Tent and Moer To Go Window. The Moerlein Lager House does offer a full bar including wine selection.
  • The event is rain, snow or shine. In the case of a severe winter storm, the event will be rescheduled to a later date. Ticket holders will be notified via email of any event changes.
    Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
